Adventure Elopements aren’t a wedding photography package. It’s a fusion of planning, preparation and support for you to make your unconventional and mould-breaking wedding plans a reality.
We’re with you the whole way through the process. From dream, through planning and all the way through to the day itself ~ we’ll be there, cameras in hand ready to capture the photos and film for you to relive.
The options are unlimited but we’ll be here to help you narrow it all down and make sure that your adventure is exactly what you need it to be. Whether it’s an early morning for a sunrise celebration on the hill tops or a late night stargazing with a picnic in dark-sky country.

Forget the old ideas of “eloping” to Gretna Green to get married in secret. Adventure Elopements are just weddings done your way.
An elopement isn’t selfish, no matter what aunty mavis or uncle jim might say. It’s about knowing what’s important to you and honouring that on the day you’ve chosen to get married to your soulmate.
It’s not a huge Hollywood production. The photos and films look epic but the reality is it’s just you, your partner, us two and maybe a couple of your friends that you specifically want to invite. That’s it. No big crews or loads of people running around doing things ~ we do everything!
Despite how it might seem, an elopement is almost certainly not more expensive than a wedding. Our elopement packages might seem expensive for a “photography package” but that’s not all they are. We help plan, make arrangements for land access, organise activities and food. Supposedly, the average wedding cost in the UK was £20,700 in 2023. Compared to that, an elopement is actually not bad.

How does it work?
First off ~ congratulations on even thinking about an adventure elopement. It’s a brave thing to consider throwing the rulebook THIS far out of the window but we love that for you.
The first steps are about us getting some ideas and inspiration from you both about what you both want. We send through a pair of questionnaires that we ask you to do individually ~ no discussions, just honest answers.
We’ll ask what your favourite memory is together and if you have any special places ~ but also practical things like how far do you want to walk on the day, are you happy to get changed under dry robes when we get there or are you going to be dressed already, do you mind getting wet or muddy, are you driving and how far do you want to drive.
We look over your answers and start to pull together some ideas about what sort of things might work and start to create a bit of a storyline for your unique adventure!
Then we book the first of probably many zoom calls or meet-ups to chat through your answers and get a few deeper bits of info ~ why sunrise over sunset, why the beach over the forests, those kinds of things.
Things that will help us in planning your day out and making it more meaningful to you and make more sense. We’ll also decide on your supplemental budget. The way it works is your package price covers the basics and anything extra that you might want to do comes out of your supplemental budget. So, if we agree that you’re happy to spend an additional £500 then when we’re looking at any bookings or activities, we’ll spend up to but no more than £500 for you to do them. Anything from the £500 that we don’t spend, you’ll get back too.
This is where we’ll decide together whether you want to know exactly what’s going to happen or if you’re going for the full surprise. We give you everything you need to know to be 100% prepared for the day. You’ll get packing lists, you get to know exactly how long we expect each leg of the adventure to take ~ you just don’t get to know where from and where to! We want you to be surprised, but if that’s just not going to work for you then that’s obviously fine too ~ we’ll prepare a full storyline for you before the day so you know the full plan.
We’ll have regular check-ins with you as we go along too. Making sure you’re happy with certain decisions, giving you options of ideas. One of the best ways we have found of telling you what you’re going to do without telling you is giving you three or four options of things to do and asking if any don’t sound fun. You won’t be doing all of the things, but you might be doing one or two of them. That way you know that whatever you do ~ you knew about it and were prepared but it’s still a surprise!
We’ll send you through a preparation pack once everything is finalised and ready. That will have a bunch of info and stuff in for you like a packing list, a spot that we’ll meet you and a time, optional things you might want to bring that you don’t need but you might want to include.
After that there’s nothing left to do but meet up on the day and go on an adventure together!

No, of course not! Not if that’s not what you want to do. The reason you want an elopement is because the normal wedding doesn’t really fit you so you decided to do things your way.
That means we’ll help you to plan whatever sort of day you want. It could be hiking up a mountain in the dark or it could be chilling in boat on the river in the sunshine with a picnic.

We can plan an elopement anywhere but we’re local experts on the North York Moors.
We shine brightest when we’re planning where we know but if you have your heart set on a lake district or Scotland elopement then let’s chat and see what we can come up with together.

If you think of them as a photography package then they do seem expensive.
However, what you’re getting with an Adventure Elopement is an event planning, day management and fully “Plan B”-ed day that just so happens to include the photography!

That’s the budget you’re willing to spend on unique activities, events, food, smoke bombs, access payments and general fun.
We include all the planning and insurance/back-up planning as well as the photography but we realised that some people wanted to go over and above with their activities while others didn’t. So rather than have everyone pay enough to book skydiving or rally driving on their wedding day, we wanted to give you the choice!

It’s up to you.
We’d love for you to trust us and for it to be a surprise on the day. However, we know that isn’t possible for some people.
We have ways we can let you know what we have planned without ACTUALLY telling you what you’ll be doing. We give you a choice of events, some you might be doing and others you won’t, but don’t tell you which is which. That way it can be a surprise on the day but you can feel secure knowing that it’s only one of three things that you’d be happy doing. Hope that makes sense!

We typically say to give us 8 weeks.
That gives us time to look through them, select the best and apply our edit to them with enough time left over for us to have a life too!

We take our normal £200 booking feed and the rest will be spread out across a payment plan.
The supplemental budget that we agree won’t be exceeded without your express permission so you will always know what the maximum amount will be.

If we’re organising the day then don’t worry ~ we won’t go hungry. Nor will we be spending a huge portion of your budget on food for ourselves either. Thanks for the concern though!

We’re a married couple who’s favourite thing is getting out and about in the moors and finding new and exciting spots.
Our wedding photography experience wasn’t the best and when we got married adventure elopements weren’t an option. So, our main focus is give amazing people just like you an incredible day to remember and beautiful photographs to treasure from it.
